Our MHDA Competition Team focuses on giving the dancer more performance opportunities, more stage time, and the chance to learn what being a part of a team is all about. Our competition team is like an extended family and the friendships created are priceless!

Mt. Hood Dance Academy offers competition dance in group divisions and solo, duo, and trio dance opportunities. Typically, team auditions are held in August, but we can continue to add to our teams into the Fall. The commitment to being on our competition team is a full-year commitment; Sept-July. We participate in 3-6 different weekend competitions starting in February running through to Nationals in July. Competitions are generally all held at local venues, around the Portland/Vancouver area. With the exception of traveling to Tacoma/Seattle at times, and for Nationals. Where we travel varies year-to-year but is generally somewhere along the west coast.
